Cedar Point, an amusement park on Lake Erie near Sandusky, Ohio, is America's second oldest and considered by many to be the best in the nation. From our Themeparks Guide:

Always rated among the best of the traditional amusement parks, Cedar Point opened in 1870 and never stopped growing. Today it boasts more rides than any other park on the planet and its incredible coaster arsenal includes legends like Magnum XL-200, the first hypercoaster to break the 200-foot threshold, and Millennium Force, a 300-foot "Giga-coaster" behemoth. The resort also features a separate admission Soak City water park, Challenge Park, with separate upcharge rides, hotels, restaurants, and beautiful views of Lake Erie.
