Camp Chase Confederate Prisoner Camp was one of the largest Union prisoner of war camps from the Civil War.

Most of the camp has been developed into the Columbus neighborhood known as Westgate. A visit to the remaining cemetery seems peaceful compared to the poor conditions Confederate prisoners suffered at the camp:

The historic marker in front of the cemetery--I couldn't get a picture to come out that you could read.
